Our volunteers are the back bone of our services and provide the support needed to help maintain the woodlands that we use and deliver our services at an affordable rate to our participants.
Volunteers gain a great deal from helping out within our project. The opportunity to gain experience running workshops, working with children, young people, families and adults, learning new skills such as wood craft, bush craft and forest school activities plus taking up the opportunity of relevant training courses that may open the door to further employment options.
Hear what one of our current volunteers has to say about the project:
‘I really enjoy helping Claire out at Wild Things because it gives me an opportunity to share knowledge and skills and helping kids get connected and interested in the outdoors is great fun. I enjoyed it all when I was younger and want to help others have the same opportunities and experiences.’
If you would like to come and join our project we would love to hear from you! Young, old or in between we can support volunteers within a variety of our sessions and would love to have you on board. Please use the contact page to get in touch.
